Owners

Without the support of amazing people, Swift Ridge Eventing would be unable to have many of our competitive, world-class horses. Erin would like to thank the following owners for their continuous support, and commitment to their horses. To learn more about becoming an owner, please contact us for more information.

Jill Jaeger

Jill Jaeger owns Skimmetry and purchased Raffaella from Erin for herself. She lives in Palm Springs in the winter and spends her summers in Montana. Jill is extremely supportive of Erin’s riding and owns some lovely horses.

Cheryl1

Cheryl Reynolds

Cheryl is a generous, supportive owner and the proud mom of Roxabelle, a long time ride of Erin’s. She still owns Roxy’s mom and Erin is now riding Rock It Man, Roxy’s half-brother. In addition to having competed Roxy through the Novice level, Cheryl participates in the Santa Fe Hunt with Roxy when time allows and makes the drive from her home in Manhattan Beach weekly out to Swift Ridge. Erin would like to thank Cheryl for allowing her to ride her very talented horses and looks forward to continuing their relationship.

Joy Simon

Joy Simon

Joy called Erin several years ago asking for information about board and training for her newly purchased event horse, Will. Since that time she has been riding and competing with Erin. Growing up in the Quarter Horse world riding Western Pleasure, Eventing was quite a change for Joy and one she embraced with enthusiasm! Joy still thinks she is going to get a dangerous riding penalty if she goes anywhere near 450 mpm on cross-country, something she and Erin both like to laugh about.

Ritters

Laurel and Bob Ritter

Erin credits Laurel for giving her the “horse genes” that have made her who she is. Laurel is Erin’s mom’s cousin, but really more like her sister and second mom.  She is also responsible, along with Liz Jenner, for providing Erin with many lovely horses from Gateway Farm that she feels very lucky to ride.

Laurel

Laurel’s husband is responsible for putting up with all of the horse craziness and funding it requires. Erin would not be where she is today in either her riding or her business without Laurel and Bob.

Erins mom

Mary Jo Bennett

Mary Jo Bennett is Erin’s mom. She has driven Erin from riding lessons and to the barn for many years and always loved horses but never ridden. Together, Erin and Mary Jo have some very funny stories from the early days with horses, as it resembled the blind leading the blind. Mary Jo is incredibly supportive, always attending shows, and has also supported Erin as one of her owners!

Robert Kellerhouse

Robert is Erin’s loving husband and the Organizer of Galway Downs, The Event at Woodside, and the American Eventing Championships. Robert is a part owner of a few of Erin’s horses and loves them as much as she does. Robert can be seen from time to time riding some of Erin’s horses when he is not busy running events across the country.
